Asst. County Manager
Paul Smith
The County Manager and Board of Commissioners appointed Paul Smith as Assistant County Manager in August 2008. Mr. Smith is a lifelong resident of Ware County. He received an A.A.S. in Drafting Technology and A.A. in Administration from Waycross College, along with a B.B.A. in Management from Valdosta State University. After college, he worked as a Cost Accounting Supervisor for a regional manufacturing industry. For the past twenty years, Mr. Smith has served Ware County and the City of Waycross in various managerial capacities.
Mr. Smith and his wife Stephanie have one daughter, Ivy. They attend Grace Episcopal Church where he has served in numerous capacities; currently he serves on the finance committee.
An avid outdoors-man, Mr. Smith enjoys numerous outdoor related activities as well as sports and exercise.
